(Hagåtña, Guam)— Congressman James Moylan will host a Community Town Hall on Wednesday, August 14th at 6:00 PM at the Chalan Pago-Ordot Mayor’s Office. All members of the public are invited to attend, ask questions, and share their thoughts on federal issues directly impacting life on Guam.
(Washington, D.C.) Congress has officially passed H.R. 1—a broad legislative package shaped over months of negotiation in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate. At close to 900 pages, the bill now heads to the President’s desk for final signature into law.
(Washington, D.C) In response to recent concerns regarding a proposed 1% federal remittance tax included in H.R. 1, I want to provide clarity and reassurance to the people of Guam that this provision does not apply to our island.
(Washington, D.C) In direct response to concerns raised by Congressman Moylan, Andersen Air Force Base has implemented new policies aimed at improving access for veterans with service-connected disabilities and their caregivers- most notably extending the validity of guest passes from just 3 days to 30 days.
(Washington, D.C.) Congressman Moylan has introduced House Resolution 545, formally recognizing War Survivor Remembrance Day in honor of the resilience and sacrifice of Guam’s Greatest Generation who endured the atrocities of war under Japanese occupation during World War II.
(Washington, D.C.) Congressman Moylan’s $50 million request in Community Project Funding (CPF) for Guam's Defense Access Roads (DAR) was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, marking the largest single CPF allocation for roadways awarded to any member of Congress in H.R.
(Washington, D.C.) An amendment introduced by Congressman Moylan to advance the establishment of a permanent Veterans Administration Regional Office on Guam was agreed to by voice vote in the U.S. House of Representatives. The provision was included in the FY2025 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act, which passed the House at 5:10 p.m.
(Hagåtña, Guam) In a strong display of bipartisan unity and respect for the armed forces, former Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo and Congressman Moylan visited the Pentagon this week to present a special proclamation of the Governor of Guam to the Secretary of the Army, Daniel Driscoll in celebration of the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday.
(Hagåtña, Guam) On June 16th, 2025 Congressman Moylan met with Senator Therese Terlaje and members of the Pacific Association for Radiation Survivors (PARS) to discuss the Senate Judiciary Committee’s latest reconciliation proposal, which reauthorizes the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) but once again excludes Guam.
(Hagåtña, Guam) On June 17, 2025, Congressman Moylan met with FEMA Region 9 Administrator Robert Fenton to discuss federal assistance for Guam. Fenton noted that FEMA is still waiting for the Guam Department of Education to sign documents needed to access about $20 million in federal disaster aid for recovery from Typhoon Mawar.
