2025 MILITARY ACADEMY NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

The Service Academies are four-year colleges that offer a bachelor’s degree in exchange for five years of active military service. Following graduation from the academies, graduates will be commissioned as officers in the armed forces.
Students seeking appointment to the United States Military Academy (West Point), United States Naval Academy, United States Air Force Academy, and United States Merchant Marine Academy are required to have a nomination. Nominations are not required for the United States Coast Guard Academy.
To apply for a nomination, candidates must meet the following basic eligibility requirements:

• An applicant must be a United States Citizen
• No applicant can be married, pregnant, or have legal obligations to support children or other dependents.

Nominations to service academies are based on a “whole person” evaluation, factoring in several traits relating to academic achievements, extracurricular activities, leadership skills and roles, physical fitness, character, and motivations. These are all taken into consideration when reviewing applications. Additionally, requirements for each service academy may be different, so students are encouraged to review the specific admission policies and deadlines for each academy.
Application deadline for a Congressional nominated is set for October 30, 2025. Please submit hard copies to our office in Hagatna. Please stay tuned to our website and social media pages for additional official announcements:
